Your situation

Let’s find out what can be done

Being scammed costs more than money. It costs your trust in your own judgment. We work to get both back. Pick the situation closest to yours — five questions, about a minute — and a lawyer will call with a free read on your odds.

Question 1 of 5
Which of these is closest to your situation?
If none of them fits exactly, choose the last one.
When did this happen?
We mean your last payment, or the moment they stopped responding.
How was the money sent?
This decides which recovery route is available to you.
How much did you lose in total?
A rough estimate — every payment plus any “withdrawal fees.”
Have you reported this anywhere yet?
If you have, we don’t start from scratch — we build on what’s already filed.
Done. Who should we call?
A lawyer usually calls back within 5 minutes during business hours. The call is free and commits you to nothing.

How we work

Five steps to getting your money back

We are not a detective agency — we work through legal channels that actually produce results. We don’t promise miracles. We show you exactly what happens at each stage and what to expect.

  1. 1

    Free case review

    15–20 min

A phone call. We identify the type of fraud, how the money moved, the timeline, and what evidence you still have. You get a straight answer about your real odds — including when they are slim.

  2. 2

    Locking down the evidence

    1–2 days

We organize your transaction records, correspondence (email, texts, messaging apps), website addresses, crypto wallets and contact details — packaged in a form your bank and the police in your country can act on.

  3. 3

    Open-source intelligence

    on-chain analysis

Blockchain tracing, domain and IP verification, mapping the connections between the people involved, and establishing where your money actually went.

  4. 4

    Several fronts at once

    in parallel

Card chargebacks (Visa — 120 days, Mastercard — up to 540 days), a PSD2 refund claim against your bank for an unauthorised payment, a SEPA recall on the transfer, a police report with the file passed to Europol, pressure on the exchanges holding the crypto, and complaints to your national financial regulator.

  5. 5

    Getting your money back

    the goal

Freezing whatever can still be frozen, seizing the perpetrator’s assets, supporting the criminal case through to judgment — and, where it is possible, a negotiated payout instead of years in court.

Results

Selected client cases

From a transfer frozen within hours, to a closed investigation reopened on appeal, to mapping an entire network of crypto wallets. We walk through the full record of outcomes during your free consultation.

€11,500
Investment fraud · recovered

Investigators closed the case without ever tracing where the money went. We filed an appeal, followed the transfers ourselves and identified the receiving account. The full amount went back to our client.

Questions and answers

What people ask most

How do I know you’re not another scam?
That is a fair question, and you should ask it of anyone offering to help you recover money. Rekowery is a law firm with a staffed office at 2 Harbourmaster Place, Dublin 1, D01 F6F4 — you can walk in and talk to us in person. We have more than 1,300 cases behind us with documented court judgments, and over 90 verified Google reviews. The case review is free, and we go through the terms of working together before anything starts. We never charge a fee to “unlock” or “release” your funds — if anyone asks you for a payment like that, it is the next scam.
Can money lost to online fraud actually be recovered?
Often, yes — especially if you move quickly. The main recovery options include a card or bank dispute (chargeback), a PSD2 refund claim for an unauthorised payment, a SEPA recall on the transfer, a police report passed on to Europol, and direct negotiation with the institutions holding the funds. The sooner you get in touch, the better your odds. Our team has a proven track record of securing successful recoveries across all of these channels.
What does Rekowery cost?
The case review is free — we call you back in as little as 5 minutes and tell you what is realistically possible. Once work begins, you cover only the actual costs of the steps being taken, with no large upfront capital required. We go through the full terms during the free consultation.
An investment platform will not let me withdraw. What does that mean?
If a platform puts conditions on your withdrawal — extra fees, “taxes,” “verifications” — it is almost certainly a scam. Legitimate platforms do not charge you to take out your own money. Do not send another dollar under any circumstances. Contact us immediately: the faster we move, the better the chance of recovery.
A fake broker scammed me. What should I do?
Right now: 1) Do not send more money, even if a “consultant” asks for a tax or a withdrawal fee. 2) Screenshot every transaction and every conversation. 3) Contact Rekowery — we will review the case free of charge. 4) Tell your bank immediately — under PSD2 it has to consider a refund — and file a police report. You can check whether the broker is licensed in your national regulator’s register and against the ESMA warnings list.
What is a chargeback, and do I qualify?
A chargeback is your bank or card network reversing a payment made under fraud. You can use it if you paid by Visa or Mastercard and the transaction falls within 120 days (Visa) or 540 days (Mastercard). Separately, PSD2 obliges your bank to refund an unauthorised payment reported without undue delay, and on a bank transfer a SEPA recall can be started. Rekowery prepares the complete documentation package, which significantly improves the outcome.
How long does recovery take?
It depends on the method and the type of fraud. We run several tracks at once — bank and card procedures, the police file and the regulators, and direct negotiation — because running them in parallel is what shortens the timeline. We push on every front simultaneously to maximise the odds and get money back to people as fast as the procedures allow.
What should I gather before contacting Rekowery?
Screenshots or printouts of every transfer and transaction, your full correspondence history (email, texts, WhatsApp, Telegram), website addresses and crypto wallet addresses, the account numbers you sent money to, and contact details for the “consultants” — names and phone numbers. You do not need all of it. We start with whatever you have.
How do I report online fraud?
File a report with the police in your country and make sure you get the case number — your bank will ask for it. File a claim with your bank at the same time, citing PSD2, and a complaint with your national financial regulator. Cross-border files are passed on to Europol. Filing everywhere in parallel works best — Rekowery can prepare the complete documentation package for all of them.
